Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian presents the newest social protection initiatives of the agency to United States (US) Ambassador Marykay L. Carlson during her visit to the DSWD Central Office on Friday (January 12).
Secretary Gatchalian discussed the Food Stamp Program (FSP), the streamlined regulatory processes of the agency, and the establishment of the Disaster Response Command Center (DRCC), among others.
Joining US Ambassador Carlson in her visit to the DSWD are USAID Philippine Mission Director Ryan Washburn, USAID Philippines Regional Humanitarian Advisor Joseph Curry, USAID Philippines Program Specialist Jay Quiros, and USAID Philippines Deputy Health Director Yolanda Oliveros.
Also present in the meeting are DSWD Undersecretary for Operations Group Monina Josefina Romualdez, Undersecretary for Policy and Plans Group Adonis P. Sulit, and Assistant Secretary for Partnerships Building and Resource Mobilization Ana Maria Paz Rafael.
